The other day R. and I found vegetarian sausages in an organic shop (depending on where you live, you might find this not very extraordinary, but I can tell you that in France it’s very hard to find veggie products). Which means I got to eat sauerkraut for the first time since I became a vegetarian.

#676 | Working on Christmas Day
It went fine, actually. We made paper decorations and costumes, played games, messed around a lot. This American guy came in fully dressed as Santa Claus. And there was virtually no work to do, so I could listen to music and read about one hundred pages from Middlemarch. Also, everyone was really nice and I got to speak to people from the other clubs who I never normally speak to, just because it...

The other day I bought for about 40€ of supplies for me to make homemade Christmas cards for my family. And I had so much fun making them.

#674 | Secret Santa!
Today I got my Secret Santa presents from work. I got: * a snowball with a reindeer inside * a photo frame decorated with a snowflake * a hot chocolate kit (something like that) I am so very happy. Though a tiny bit disappointed that someone told me who my Santa was. I’d have preferred not knowing. By the way, everyone loved my biscuits today. I’ll be working this whole weekend...

One of my colleagues, and a nice, funny, clever person, is pregnant. Which makes me really happy for her. And it’s the first time in my life someone about my age I’m sort of close to is pregnant, which almots makes me feel like an adult.

My boss has offered me a job until the end of September. I haven’t signed a contract yet, and it’s faaaar from being the best job in the world — but still, it’s money and being employed.

My German housemate left me some Christmas chocolates at the entrance of my room. When I went to thank him he said “It wasn’t me, it was Santa.”
